Submit an example of your writing to apply for the Tremont Writers Conference. We recommend sending your strongest work regardless of publication status. See the manuscript guidelines below for more information.
Manuscript Guidelines
Please mention if your pieces have been published and where.
Do not include your name anywhere in your manuscript or file name.
Fiction/Nonfiction
- Double-spaced, 12-point font
- 5,000-word limit (include word count at the top of the page)
- Indicate at the top whether your story or essay is a stand-alone piece or an excerpt from a longer project.
- If your story is an excerpt from a longer story, include a synopsis at the bottom that is no more than 350 words. (This will not count toward the 5,000-word limit.)
- Multiple shorter prose pieces are fine so long as the overall total does not exceed 5,000 words.
Poetry
- Single-spaced, 12-point font
- No more than 10 pages of poetry (one poem per page)
